What should be an ideal strategy to prepare for Reasoning Section of SBI CLERK EXAM

State Bank of India is one of the biggest nationalized banks of the world. Every year more than 6000 vacancies are notified by SBI to conduct common written test for various posts such as SBI CLERK, SBI PO, etc. This exam is held in two phases such as
  • Prelims (100 marks exam containing 100 questions in 1 hour)
  • Mains (200 marks exam containing 200 questions in 2 hours)

Exam pattern of Prelims Exam
This exam consists of 100 questions to be attempted in one hour. It has three sections

  • Quantitative Aptitude

Exam pattern of Mains Exam
This exam comprises of 200 questions carrying 200 marks to be attempted in 120 minutes. This paper is divided into four/five sections such as:
  1. Reasoning (40 marks)

  3. Quantitative Aptitude (40 marks)
  4. General Awareness (40 marks)
  5. Computer Knowledge (40 Marks)
As you can see, Reasoning is a part of both the stages, in prelims it will be asked for 35 marks and in Mains it will be for 40 marks. Therefore, one needs to prepare this section thoroughly right from the beginning. It is one of the scoring section too as it does not have any rules or formulae to be learned.
